Introduction • THA is procedure which the diseased ball and socket of the hip is completely removed and replaced by artificial materials. • Indication for THA : is treating hip joint arthrosis with significant pain and ambulatory dysfunction. • This method choose because of good long-term results that the endoprosthetic device gives regarding the ability of weight bearing, function, range of motion and stability.
Harris’s Hip Score Bauman’s angle
Sex Age men women 15-24 25-34 35-44 mean age : 45 y.o ; the youngest is 27 y. o and the oldest 72 y.o 45-64 25-34
Indications of THA osteoarthritis old subluxation and dislocation old fracture of acetabulum acetabulum pathological fracture osteonecrosis
Harris’s Hip Score excellent good fair poor fail
Man , 62 y.o, with 5 months neglected dislocation of hip (S), Pre op Post op
Man, 32 y.o, with bilateral avascular necrosis with osteoarthirtis of hip, and bilateral valgus deformity and knee unstability Pre op I
Post op I , post left THA with correction of left knee valgus deformity
Post op II, 6 months latter, post right THA with correction of right knee valgus deformity
Summary In this study we found: • Total Hip Arthroplasty gives a good functional outcome based on Harris Hip’s Score. • Patients with fair outcomes had low points at activities especially stairs, and walking distances.
