CyberCon CYBERSECURITY – AMONG THE MAIN PRIORITIES OF SOFIA KNOWLEDGE CITY CLUSTER CITY • Prof. Bogdan Ugarchinski - Deputy Chairman of the Cluster Managing Board and Mr. KirilZhelyazkov - Member of Managing Board visited Israel and analysed their organizational structures and experience. An initial agreement for cooperation was established; • Sofia Knowledge City Cluster is preparing a proposal for cybersecurity solutions in Sofia which could be based on the available facilities, infrastructure and human capacity of its members. For instance, the institutes of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences could provide capacity in cyber security of the different areas - energy, transport, national security, ecology, defense, health, etc.

CyberCon Geo-spatial portal for Proactive Decision Assistance in Cybersecurity System of Sofia Municipality (2) • The portal will be developed bottom-up, starting with a pilot project in a limited territory of Sofia, with a digital geo-referenced model and a description of all potential sources of threats. • Surveillance with video cameras and smart sensors for the Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data. • The scope will include environmental and water layers, transport infrastructure, energy transmission network, public infrastructure, etc. • The purpose of the system is to provide reliable data for the proactive support of solutions of different types of crises in the system of Unified Rescue System - incl. in the case of natural disasters, industrial accidents, accidents, terrorist acts, migratory pressures, street disturbances and others.
