  2. 2 Themes Sustainable Development Environmental focus (to balance the strong social and economic focus in ESF (and BBO) Equality “Gender Equality and Equal Opportunities” (MA guidance on CCTs, v3, August 2018) aka Equality & Diversity Double significance: • Both these are important (regardless of BBO) • Both themes are subject to evaluation and audit

  3. 3 Ps • Policy • Written commitments, for each theme, specific to your • BBO project (Under some circumstances you can add an • addendum to an existing SD policy, but every project must write a distinct Equality policy for the project – see the MA Guidance, v2, August 2018) • Plan • Write simple plans for each theme. These can be combined ‘implementation’ and ‘action’ plans • Proof • Walk the walk, don’t just talk the talk… • Record relevant action/measures to show continuous improvement • If you can base line and measure, then set basic baselines • Whether you measure or not, review your policy and plan (“continuous improvement”)
