  2. Why homework? Research says: • It can add up to 8 months progress in a year; • When you complete homework to your best effort, it will help you to learn and do better in subjects.

  3. What homework in the Sixth Form? • Research • Reading • Revision for an exam/assessment • Practice questions/activities • Coursework • Quizzes • Learning facts/spellings • Improving or redoing work • Bringing in materials • Listening, recording or practising • Doing a project

  4. Why homework at CCHS? • Preparing, practising and developing class work; • Supports you with learning; • Responsible; • Resilience; • Independence; • Gets parents involved; • Prepares you for university and life beyond; • Help you to be the best you can be: excellence!

  5. What is ‘Show My Homework’?* • Online website; • Staff, students and parents; • ‘To do’ list and calendar; • Record; • Attachments; • Deadline; • Free App; *Students who do not have access to a computer at home will need to inform their tutor and teachers.

  6. PIN > PASSWORD > E-MAIL ADDRESS. Click ‘Update your details’

  7. Expectations of you • Complete; • Hand in on time; • Best of your ability; • Inform your class teacher well before the deadline if you have any issues; • Accept sanctions given for homework.
