Fossils: • 3 main fossil bands that supported Wegener’s hypothesis. • Glossopteris fern. • Mesosaurus • Lystrosaurus.
Climate Change • Wegener found rocks with glacial scraping in places that are too mild to have glaciers any more.
Why was Wegener initially not supported? • He had no second sentence yet in his hypothesis! • It was much later when Harry Hess created his theory of Sea Floor Spreading that Wegener’s theory was accepted in the 1960’s!
