  3. Two cases for HCI courses • Design of HCI is crucial – it needs to given adequate coverage (more than data?) • It fundamentally changes SA&D

  4. Case I: HCI is substantial and crucial in business • Cannot be learnt in one class meeting • Crucial to effective decision making, efficient processing and marketing

  5. Case II: Analysis should take into account human constraints • Need to supplement SA&D with structured techniques for specifying requirements based on constraint analysis • Need to integrate enhanced SA&D with design of human-computer interface
