  1. RENO-50 Site RENO-50 International workshop (June. 13 ~ 14) Seoul National University June-Ho Choi (Dongshin University)

  2. Physics with RENO-50 • Determinationof mass hierarchy Dm213 • Neutrino burst from a Supernova in our Galaxy : ~1500 events (@8 kpc) • Geo-neutrinos : ~ 300 geo-neutrinos for 5 years • Solar neutrinos : with ultra low radioacitivity • Reactor physics : non-proliferation • Detection of T2K beam : ~120 events/year • Test of non-standard physics : sterile/mass varying neutrinos Requirements for site - low cosmic background : sufficient overburden - low other reactor interference - optimal distance from the reactor cores

  3. Optimal distance YoshitaroTakaesu (KIAS/KNRC) : arXiv: 1210.8141 Max. sensitivity Small difference btw NH and IH Due to Small flux Reduction of sensitivity

  4. Multi-reactor interference 16.5GW 5kton 10yrs YongGwang only YoshitaroTakaesu (KIAS/KNRC) : arXiv: 1210.8141 a = 3%, b = 0.5% All Reactors Other reactor sites influence the sensitivity.

  5. Multi-reactor interference YoshitaroTakaesu (KIAS/KNRC) : arXiv: 1210.8141 16.5GW 5kton 10yrs a = 3%, b = 0.5% Distributions of Each Reactors considered Including Planned Reactors Reactorsdirection strongly affects the sensitivity.
