  2. Jake the Snake woke up one day and thought his mom had gone away.Then the ground began to shake. “I want my mom!” said Jake the Snake.

  3. “I’ll go up this hill, and then go down. I’ll see if she’s anywhere in the town.” Then the hill began to shake. “I want my mom!” hissed Jake the Snake.

  4. He came to a corner, looked left and then right. His mom was still nowhere in sight. Then the corner began to shake. “I want my mom!” cried Jake the Snake.

  5. He climbed up a ladder, and looked high and low. “Oh mommy, Mommy! Where did you go?” Then the ladder began to shake. “I want my mom!” shouted Jake the Snake.

  6. Jake came to a bridge and began to wonder. “I can’t see her here. Maybe she’s under?” Then the bridge began to shake. “I want my mom!” yelled Jake the Snake.

  7. He came to a tunnel and went in and out. But wherever he looked, Mom wasn’t about. Then the tunnel began to shake. “I want my mom!” sobbed Jake the Snake.

  8. “Where are you, Mommy? Oh where, oh where?” Then Jake looked up. His mom was there!

  9. You were never lost or off the track. You were always with me on my back.
