Apply for a SWE scholarship • Apply online by Tuesday, February 15 for 2011-2012 academic year. www.swe.org/scholarships Did you know? • Annually, SWE awards individual scholarships to freshmen through graduate students • Scholarships and fellowships range from $1,000 to $10,000 each • In 2010, SWE Society scholarship distributions were approximately $490,000

Come by a meeting to see what being on the E-Board is like, and to get involved in the planning of some SWE events. *You don’t need to come for the full two hours. Region F Collegiate Leadership Forum (CLF) Saturday, February 12, 2011 @ Tufts University, Medford, MA (near Boston!) 12:30pm-4pm • Experience a satellite version of summer training that is typically only for regional officers • Goal: 1 car-full of RPI SWE members • What to expect: RSVP by Monday 1/31/11 to Lesley Wu (wul3@rpi.edu) and indicate if you can drive. Quizbowl Wednesday, February 16th, 2011 How to participate! • Volunteers needed to write questions and organize the event day of. • Last year we had over 90 people compete! • Form a team of your friends from SWE or outside of SWE and sign up, watch for an email. • Monetary prices for the top 3 teams!   17. Exploring Engineering Day • Saturday, February 19th • Snowdate: Sat., Feb. 26th What is EED? ~450 students in grades 3-6 rotate through different engineering activities in the morning and afternoon

Plant Tour Coming soon • Location: Bethlehem Energy Center in Albany (Less than 20 minutes away from RPI) • Date: TBD (After Spring Break in either March or April) About Bethlehem Energy Center: • Only Fossil Generating Station in NY state. Other PSEG Fossil Generating Stations located in Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Texas. • Fuel used: Natural Gas • at 746 MW the Bethlehem Energy Center is one of the higher generating facilities out of the total 19 Fossil Generating Stations in PSEG. • If interested please sign-up on the sheets located near the sign-in table.
