  5. ADDING A ROW • CLICK on ROW 1 • In HOME MENU, select INSERT • In ALL CAPS and CENTERED, type the following COLUMN HEADINGS: Column A: A Thru Z Column B: FIRST NAME Column C: JOB TITLE Column D: HOURLY $ Column E: TOTAL HOURS Column F: GROSS PAY Column G: TAXES Column H: NET PAY

  6. MAKING ITEMS FIT • If your typing (words OR numbers) DO NOT FIT in the COLUMN……. DOUBLE-CLICK between the column letters and Excel will AUTOMATICALLY ADJUST for the longest line in the column!

  7. CENTERING COLUMNS Center the following columns (because they contain numbers) Column D: HOURLY $ Column E: TOTAL HOURS Column F: GROSS PAY Column G: TAXES Column H: NET PAY

  8. ADDING ANOTHER ROW • YOU need to ADD YOUR NAME to the list!!! • INSERT a ROW (so that your first name is ALPHABETICALLY placed on your list!) • Give yourself A JOB TITLE, TOTAL HOURS and CALCULATE Gross Pay, Taxes and Net Pay

  9. SAVING • Save this document in your TIES folder as YOUR LAST NAME. • Save this document in NORTON STUDENTS FOLDER (Shared Folder/Norton Students/Your Class Period/Your Last Name) • Save as NOV 14. SAVING
