IDSL Architecture - Subscriber side • New, 2-wire nailed-down ISDN circuit • Deployed only on unloaded copper pair • Standard ISDN order intervals • Architecture is different than existing MegaBit RADSL product • Phase 1 Leverages the existing U S WEST fractional frame relay (FFR) and ATM infrastructure • Line encoding technology (2B1Q) • Technician install only (no self-install). • One year minimum subscriber contract
MegaBit IDSL - MegaCentral • IDSL and RADSL can be delivered to the ISP host using the same MegaCentral connection. • MegaCentral Router Configuration Requirements • PPPoATM only • Logical Link Control (LLC) encapsulated PPP payloads. • Technology design does not support Bridging • Initially configured for AAL SNAP (RADSL is AAL MU) • MegaBit IDSL technical parameters are delineated in U S WEST Communications Technical Publication PUB 77399.
