But David remained at Jerusalem. 2 Then it happened one evening that David arose from his bed and walked on the roof of the king’s house. And from the roof he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful to behold. 3 So David sent and inquired about the woman. Uriah's Love for Bathsheba She was his “Ewe Lamb” (Treasured her). He nourished her (He sacrificed to provide for her every need). She had “grown up together” with him (They had become truly One Flesh). Were there Children to consider? Lay (slept) in his arms (Tenderly cherished her) She was protected like a daughter.
Uriah saw Bathsheba as the love and joy of his life David saw Bathsheba only as an object that could gratify his urges
