The term Homosexual • 1869: first known appearance of homosexual in print found in a German pamphlet written by Karl-Maria Kertbeny: Homosexualität • 1895: the first known use of homosexual in English is Charles Chaddock's 1895 translation of Richard von Krafft-Ebing's PsychopathiaSexualis, a study on sexual practices

Heterosexual Someone who is only interested in a person of the opposite gender. Often referred to as straight.
Gay Men • Homosexual • Slang version: Queer • Male gender who is only interested in another male gender
Lesbian • Female gender homosexual • Female gender who is only interested in another Female gender.
Bisexual Someone who is interested in both Male gender and Female gender.
Intersex • One who possesses both male and female body parts and/or hormones. • In the past, was labeled as hermaphrodite
Transgender Transexual Transvestite Drag Queen/Drag King One who purposely dresses up in the opposite gender’s clothing Impersonates the opposite gender • Someone who tries to become a member of the opposite gender. • One who changes their gender by surgical procedure • Male to Female • Female to Male
Asexual • Someone who does not have any identification of Male or Female genders. • Also can mean someone who is unaffected by genders.
Questioning Individuals who are in the process of discovering or coming to terms with their sexuality.
Pansexual • One who does not care about the gender of their partner. • “Love you for who you are not what you are”
Polyamory Loving more then one person at a time. Participating in an open relationship that includes more then two people.
No Label One who believes there is no need to have a label to define themselves “I am who I am”
