  1. Exam Format: Fifty-five (55) multiple choice questions based on the textbook and two(2) descriptive essay type questions based on the readings listed below. Time allocated for the exam is 1 Hour and 30 minutes (i.e., 90 minutes). Multiple choice questions are worth 70% of the exam grade and the essay questions is worth 30% of the exam grade. Please make sure you bring a no. 2 pencil, eraser, pen & ISU student ID. • Exam Portions: Chapters 6, 8, 9, 10 & 12 (Textbook) & the following readings: • The Core Competence of the Corporation (Hamel and Prahalad) • Fast-Cycle Capability for Competitive Power (Bower and Hout) • Strategic Intent (Hamel and Prahalad) • Good Managers Don't Make Policy Decisions (Wrapp) • Read the articles carefully and be prepared to answer the key question covered in the article as short paragraphs [Practice at least once before appearing for the exam & see additional instructions in the following page].   2. Use a short paragraph for each point you wish to make. Students failing to elaborate/explain the specific point will only be eligible for partial (50%) credit. • Write neatly (since I should be able to grade the answer) and use large print. • Use business terms and formal English (e.g., no slangs). • Answer the specific question (vague answers will receive no credit). • Always read your answer before you return the exam.
