Background • AHCAS is a joint venture between Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions (ASAHP) and Liaison International • 2010 Program Services performed program needs survey • Identified interest in developing a CAS for Allied Health professions • 2010 – 2012 ASAHP staff performed feasibilities studies • End 2012 – ASAHP staff received the “go ahead” from senior staff • Initial meeting with Liaison International occurred the one month prior to Spring Meeting 2013 • Anticipated release date of AHCAS is beginning of September 2013 for 2014 admissions

AHCAS Allied Health Centralized Application Service A centralized Application Service (CAS) is a full service web based application system, designed to streamline the application process for students in respiratory care, radiologic and imaging sciences and the laboratory sciences. A CAS will also streamline the reviewing process for institutions.
