  1. Choosing the right Spinning Can is crucial for producing high-quality Sliver in a Spinning Mill. A good Spinning Can not only ensures a quality product but also offers long-lasting durability, making it economically viable. Here are 6 important points to consider when selecting a Spinning Can. Introduction

  2. Premium Quality HDPE Sheet • The Body Sheet is the most exposed part of the Spinning Can and is prone to wear and tear. • It is recommended to use HDPE Sheets with Kicking Bend and Standard Thickness to ensure durability. • The sheets should have Zero Scratch Damage, Zero Ovality, Zero Overlapping, and Seamless press at Joint for optimal performance. • The sheets should be assembled systematically at the site. • It is important to look for Anti-Static finish in the inner surface of the sheet.

  3. Stainless Steel for Top Rim & Band • Stainless Steel is recommended for the top rim and binder to prevent rusting and rough edges, which can affect the quality of the product. • Galvanized Bottom Rim and Plate should be used in all types of cans. • Steel rivets should be used at 7-8 inch intervals to ensure there are no gaps between spares and the body sheet, preventing fiber accumulation. • Embossed sheets should be used for Bottom Rims and Plates.

  4. Castor Wheels and Stainless Steel Wires • Look for Ball Bearing Type 360-Degree Swiveling Castors, directly fixed to the bottom plate using nut bolts • It is important to ensure that there is no play in the movement of the castors and that there is a minimum gap between the castors and the floor. • Use Non-Adjustable Stainless Steel wire with Plastic Coating in Tying Chord for binding the springs with the Bottom Plate. • Ensure that there is an equidistance between three parallel chords. • Avoid directly tying the chords with the top plate.

  5. Springs • Coated springs should be used for cans to prevent ununiformed movement and balance issues during operations. • The Spring Thrust should be checked according to specifications to ensure proper functioning. • When requesting springs from a spinning can supplier, it is important to provide the proper specification with the pretension value filled in the specification sheet.

  6. The Top Plate • Top Plate production should be done using a single die. • Plastic sheets should be used for cans up to 24 inches, while 18G Steel Sheets should be used for cans up to 48 inches. • Embossed sheets with radial lines, circular lines, and pyramid points should be used for better grip on the spring and uniform holding of sliver. • The top edge of the can should have evenness with a maximum deviation of 4.5 mm. • The can should have uniform circularity with a tolerance of 10 mm. • The can should be upright with a maximum deviation of 10 mm. • The cylinder and joints of the can should be impact resistant.
