The problem Loss of water due to leaky mains pipes Reasons: 1) Old and poorly constructed pipelines. 2) Inadequate corrosion protection. 3) Poorly maintained valves. 4) Mechanical damage. 5) Amplification of pressure.
Water loss information Examples of water loss worldwide : 1) London – 1000 million liters per day (nearly 50%). (Enough to fill 17 Olympic sized swimming pools every hour) 2) New York City - nearly 15% loss 3) Boston– nearly 36% loss 4) Mexico City – nearly 32% loss 5) Montreal- nearly 40% loss 6) Seoul– nearly 35% loss 7) Ukraine cities – nearly 30% loss 8) Vietnam cities – nearly 50% loss
The solution - LDAU The LDAU is a light weight and cost effective Leakage Data Acquisition Unit developed using the ExorBlue patented technology for current measurements. The LDAU provides with a simple and quality assured, the assessing aspects of the leakages locations in water pipes.
Operation – Step 1Transferring the LDAU through the water pipe
Operation – Step 2Transmission of the data to laptop/smartphone/server via WIFI protocol
Operation – Step 3Data Analyzing using the water currents and temperatures parameters in real time
