But unfortunately, underestimating cooling needs may cost you some sweat and extra money At the other end of the spectrum, buying more power than you need can cause the living space you are trying to cool to become cold and clammy. Please make sure that whoever you hire as your contractor calculates the size of the cooling equipment you need by using a recognized method such as the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) Manual J.
