Work in Elaine Li’s lab in the Physics department analyzing photonic interactions with semiconductor-based quantum dot structures. • Member of Directed Reading Program in the Math department, working with Andrew Lee. Topic Group Meeting Format Meetings will be Thursdays 5-6p Topic Papers will be emailed out beforehand • 30-40min presentation • 20-30min discussion • Professors will be invited to come discuss their research. • If there’s a paper you really want to discuss, send it to your group leader.
General Meeting Format • Second Thursday of each Month (except Feb) • Announcements • Presentation of any recent breakthroughs or science news: Nobel prizes, actual cures for cancer… • Professors may discuss general science topics: publication ethics, how to read a technical paper, etc.
