CCMA – Where have you been? • CCMA was established in August 2000 • ‘Moth-balled’ in 2008 • Small Board has kept it as an active legal entity • Current members • IIROC • CBA • CDS • Initial projects were • STP • NI 24-101
CCMA – Where are you going? • The Canadian Capital Markets Association (CCMA) is a federally incorporated, not-for-profit organization, launched to identify, analyze and recommend ways to meet the challenges and opportunities facing Canadian and international capital markets. • The current priority of the CCMA is to coordinate a smooth transition to a two-day settlement period, or T+2. • Work for the Canadian financial industry. • Equities • Fixed Income • Mutual Funds • Includes all segments. • Buy side • Sell side • Custodians • Co-ordinate with the US timeline.
