Krav Maga is a relatively new defense system and does not have thousands of years of tradition Krav Maga counters threats in a very “street fight” like mentality What Makes Krav Maga different?
Krav Maga is organized in a system of 5 levels The belt system is not utilized in America but overseas a belt system is incorporated into training In traditonal martial arts a “Gi” is worn during training. This is not so in Krav Maga As a novice trainees begin at level one and after stressful advancement tests can progress to mastery level More advanced levels involve greater situational awareness and ability to handle attacks against and with multiple people Advancement levels in Krav Maga
As a beginner in Krav Maga you will be expected to counter a wide variety of choke attacks, as well as have an adequate understanding of situational awareness and ground defense Level One Krav Maga Curriculum
Defense against a choke from the front Offensive as well as defensive ground techniques
In level 2 Krav Maga you will expand upon your knowledge of defenses and incorporate more complex defenses into your training Level 2 Krav Maga
In more advanced levels weapons training is incorporated into the curriculum, this includes all manners of knife, gun, and unarmed attack. Knowledge of self defense is increased as well as the ability to defend others who are in danger Levels 3 and 4
At the highest level of Krav Maga you are eligible to get an instructors license and teach your own classes Level 5
