KNOW WHAT YOU NEED TO DO NOW. “I tell you, Nay: but, exceptyerepent, ye shall all likewise perish.” Luke 13:3 (BE SORRY FOR AND TURN FROM SIN) “And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved,…” Acts 16:31. You are trusting the death and resurrection of Christ through His shed blood as full payment for sin. Jesus Christ died for you as your Substitute. GOD’S PLAN BEGINS WITH SALVATION “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls .” Acts 2:41 STEP 1 AFTER THEY BELIEVED THEY WEREBAPTIZED WHY? 1. COMMANDED BY CHRIST Matt 28:19-20 2. CHRIST OUR EXAMPLE Matt 3:13 3. BELIEVER SHOWS OBEDIENCE Acts 2:41 (see above) How? TO OBEY BIBLE TEACHING (see above) 2. TO PUBLICLY BE A FOLLOWER OF CHRIST 3. TO ENJOY CHRISTIAN FRIENDS 4. TO GAIN INSTRUCTION 5. TO FIND A PLACE OF SERVICE PURPOSE OF THE CHURCH “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them….” Mat. 28:19-20 • Heritage Baptist Church • Can be used with permission

  12. GOD’S PLAN BEGINS WITH SALVATION NOW, IT’S YOUR JOB! STEP 3 AFTER BAPTISM AND CHURCH MEMBERSHIP THERE ISGROWTH GROWTH IS A NATURAL PROCESS FOR A NEW BELIEVER.
