6. Today’s lesson • Isn’t it nice to be tucked inside after playing out on a cold stormy day ? • We are going use our warm/cool colour theory to create pictures that show a cozy warm interior and cool exterior.

7. procedure • 1) Take the 9x12 paper and cut it in half. One half will be used for the interior view plus the window. The other half will show an exterior view of the winter landscape. • 2) Draw the interior. Draw a large window. (you will cut out the window panes so don’t colour them in. )Add curtains, plants, table, chair etc. Use warm colours for this part. • 3) Cut out the window panes. • 4) Use the remaining half to create a landscape (remember cheat’s landscape techniques) use your cool colours. Add details such as snow covered trees,, bird feeders, sleds, wood pile, houses, barn… • 6) Fold the sides as shown and glue to back of interior picture. (see next slide)
