Summary Mt. Zion High School is the only school in the county to utilize the emerging technology of NComputing. This virtual desktop system allows all the monitors in the computer labs to be run off a single CPU. Each monitor in the computer labs on the main floor has a device that allows the use of memory cards. The NComputing CPU can operate up to 100 computer stations. In addition to the computer labs, each classroom in the school also has 4 computer stations using the NComputing system. The main operating system is located in the stack room (indicated on the map by the red X). The computers in the labs on the second floor each have individual CPUs. They are, however, connected into the network for the internet and the intranet. All the computers are connected by fiber optic cables that are run through ceilings and walls.
