Women’s in Different villages: Homeless bird. Andalib Virani Grade 4 February 20,2013
Summary of homrless bird This story tells us about a girl who is 13 years old. And her name is Koly who has a joyful life At the end. In the middle of the story I read that she became a widow. She felt lonely in this strange city. So I also read that some women really suffer in India. now In the end Koly got married with Raji
claim Homeless Bird tells us that some women's suffer a lot.
evidence Sass makes Koly do almost all the work in Homeless Bird .It relates to the real India because sometimes Sass is very mean or rude to her daughter in-law..
EVIDENCE Koly knew that Hari was younger then 16. But Sass just wanted the dowry for Hari to get better. In the olden days in villages, some family make their daughter marry when they are in the age of teen or sometimes younger than teen.
evidence It also relates to India because in India some women’s in the villages are treated like a maid. And Koly was treated the same why. And in India when Hari and Sassur died. Sass and Koly had to wear a white sari that’s called a widows Sari. they have to wear a widows sari because in Hinduism they do that.
conclusion Homeless Bird is related to India because in some villages people have tough decisions to make in front of there husband. In India women’s have to do what the husband tells them to do. It also relates to India because a women can not say something rude to him. In India some husband hit their wife. And the wife can not hit back or ales the husband will kick the wife out of the house
REFLECTION In the story Homeless Bird there was a girl named Koly. who was suffering a lot with her wedding and sass. And I was feeling bad for Koly. I imagined me as Koly and I saw that I would be suffering right now. In the end, I felt like Koly now misses Raji instead of missing Hari. THANK YOU.
