  23. Basic kit • Canon camera • Tape - label it properly • Tripod - plate stays with tripod • Camera kit - mic, headphones, light • Cables

  24. Basic terms • Pan - left to right • Tilt - up and down • Zoom - tightening/ loosening the shot • MiniDV tape - small format digital tape • Firewire - camera to computer connection

  25. Basic filming points • Use the tripod for steady shots • Take still shots - don’t move on everything • Zoom - slowly, both in and out • Remember sound • Handles on shots, esp. ending • Check that you are recording
