2006 CHA Results Seven years ago, Yellowstone County residents were struggling with these modifiable health risks: • 62.7% were overweight or obese • Only 41.4% met physical activity recommendations • Only 34.9% consumed the recommended five+ servings of fruits and vegetables daily • 89.1% presented one or more cardiovascular disease risk factors

As part of a coordinated effort to create a community that is healthy by design, the Healthy By Design Quality Collaborative will actively encourage achievement and maintenance of a healthy weight for residents in Yellowstone County. By July 2013, all primary care providers at Billings Clinic, St. Vincent Healthcare and RiverStone Health will incorporate body mass index (BMI) measurement and healthy weight plans into patient visits. Providers will be able to facilitate the conversation regarding weight by providing a straightforward, evidence-based message about feasible behavior change. Project Aim
