  4. Parts of old sand box that will be thrown away but the children really liked these elements so , maybe we could recreate/reuse these somewhere

  5. The Preschool Yard 3 Classes: Toddler Two North, Preschool One and Preschool Two Ages: 2 years - 5 years Pictures taken in 2010

  6. Possible places for storage sheds: just cant be where someone could climb on top and access someone’s balcony Our old fences

  7. The Southside Yard 3 Classes: Infant South Toddler One South and Toddler Two South Ages: 3 months- 2.9 years Pictures taken in 2010

(Grahan et al. 1997: Fjortoft & Sageie 2001) Is part of human development Is not just for playgrounds What is Play? Is for everyone: kids just are better at it! Play is exploratory, creative and imaginative Is not wasting time is important to the health and development of individuals and the community at large Is not only for KIDS

Snow in the winter, • Local plants (grasses): cost and maintenance, • Sun Protection, especially for the Southside Yard • Take into account that the children like to carry the sand to different areas, especially those that resemble a house • Our history and location; next to Charles River: boats and water
