My Theory on Poe’s Death There are many theories on how Poe died. Some ranging from alcohol and others to rabies. In my opinion I think that Poe died from to much alcohol. I think this because when his wife was ill he took to drinking.
My Favorite Poe Story/Poem My favorite Poe story is “The Masque of the Red Death”. This story is my favorite because I like the way the story is written. In this story there's a plague called the Red Death. A prince invites some people with him to try to escape it. They have a huge party in 6 of 7 rooms.
My Favorite Poe Story/Poem Continued All the rooms where different colours: Blue, Purple, Green, Orange, White, Violet, and Black. No one was brave enough to go into the Black room. Everyone had costumes and mask on and one person had grave clothes on and killed the prince. When they pulled of his cloak there was no one there. Then the thing killed everyone.
Conclusion How is Poe like the “father of the modern day horror story? Did you make any connections with his life or stories? Did you enjoy his stories….why/why not?
