  1. Five Tips for Buying a New Sofa Nowadays we often spend a lot of time relaxing on the couch or sofa, so it definitely pays to have a comfortable one. It can be a very exciting time purchasing a new sofa, but also a very expensive time – especially if you pick the wrong one. Hopefully these handy tips will help make finding the right sofa that little bit easier. 1.The Colour - When picking the colour or pattern of your new sofa be certain to match it to the rest of your furniture and décor. Also remember that white couches may look nice in catalogues and displays but they can often be impractical. They not only get dirty easier from grubby hands and feet but also show up stains and scratches easier. Darker colours are usually a safer option as they hide stains and dirt better. If opting for a patterned couch, be sure to check that the pattern is centred and that the patterns on all seams match. 2.The Size - Measure the space where the sofa is intended for. Not only that, also measure the door measurements of where the sofa will be coming from, especially if it cannot be dismantled. If buying a reclining sofa, double check there will be enough room for it to recline. If buying a couch for a taller person you will want a deeper sitting couch. 3.The Cost - Brand new sofas can be expensive. If shopping for a new one, consider holding off until an end of month/year sale comes along. Or better yet, look in to renting a sofa. Furniture leasing can be a fantastic option and help you afford a nicer sofa for your place. We highly recommend Pabs Furniture for furniture rental in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. 4.Comfortableness - It goes without saying that a new sofa should be comfortable, but how do you know you’re testing it correctly? Just plonking yourself down on it for a minute is not

  2. all you should be testing. Run your hand around the frame and make sure it’s well padded. Check the cushions and seams for any lumpiness or uneven areas. Check that it’s comfortable in all the positions you would normally sit or lay on a sofa – and if you have one, this includes sitting with your loved one and making sure there is enough space for the both of you. 5.Longevity - Check that the sofa is well engineered and built to last. It shouldn’t rattle or squeak. Keep these tips in mind and you will be sure to come across the right sofa for you. Presented By Pabs Furniture Rentals
