Dress For Success • Dress for the job you want. • Dress Modestly • Dress-Up • When in doubt wear black, white, or gray • Avoid piercings, ripped clothes, too much cologne, bad smells, shirts with words on them, crazy make up, low cut or too short, sweat pants, crazy ties, huge earrings, sunglasses, crazy jewelry. • Let them see a respectable you.
Be Prepared • Google is your friend. • Research the company, find out what is important to the company. • Know what job you are applying for and be prepared to answer questions about why you would be a great candidate for that job.
Make a Good first impression • Be on time or don’t show up. • Smile! • Shake the interviewers right hand. • Breath and relax • Don’t talk too fast • Look and smell good • Make eye contact
Practice makes perfect • With a friend, family member, mirror, recorder, camera phone practice interview questions. • Know what kind of interview questions to expect. • We will practice some of these questions. • The more prepared you are the more relaxed you will be.
Do you have any questions? • This will always be asked at the end of your interview, be prepared with a few options. • What might be some good examples of questions to ask your interviewer?

Ending the interview • Smile • Thank them for their time. • Let them know you look forward to hearing from them. • Plug yourself.
After the Interview • Send a thank you note. • If you don’t get the job, be gracious and let them know that if anything else becomes available you would be interested. • You can ask if there is anything that you can work on to be more hirable at the company.
