(identifying variables, controls and experimental groups) Task: Today we will set up an investigation as a class to answer the question: “How does the type of ball (tennis ball vs. wiffle ball) affect how many shots I make in a container?” Complete the IDD by: • Entering the title: “The affect of the type of ball (tennis ball vs. wiffle ball) on the amount of shots I make in a container.” • Entering the question (See above) • Writing an “if…then…because…” hypothesis • Identifying the Independent variable for this investigation. • Identifying the Dependent Variable for this investigation. • Identifying at least 3 constant variables for this investigation.
