  1. Let us introduce Vysoké Mýtoto you 

  2. Vysoké Mýto is located in Eastern Bohemia. • The population of the town is 12 000.

  3. Vysoké Mýto was founded in 1262 by Bohemian king Přemysl Otakar II.The town square is exceptionally beautiful and it is one of the largest of its type in the Czech Republic.

  4. Vysoké Mýto is known for its gates and towers. There are three towers, which used to be a part of the city´s fortification. Now they are used as little temporary galleries. The most famous is the Gothic Prague Gate. In addition, there is a belfry (a tower with a bell) next to the church.

  5. There are two primary schools in Vysoké Mýto - Jiráskova and Javornického. There are four secondary schools – a grammar school (in the photos in the upper corners), two engineering schools and a business school.

  6. In Vysoké Mýto you can find a lot of sport centres:an athletic stadium, two swimming pools, a racing track and many gyms.

  7. One of the most famous and important factories nearby is Iveco Company, formerly known as Karosa. For a long time, there have been produced mainly buses.
