    5. 1985 Got a job with Cargill (finally)

The Cargill Women's Council was formed Build and sustaining an environment in which individual differences are valued                                                                     Recognize diversity as a key value needed for business success and build an environment that fosters the attainment of career potential for women.      a business-driven initiative that will create an awareness of issues, sponsor programs, and support and influence processes and policies that enhance the retention and development of women.

    8. What have they done? Mentoring programs Mentor Up Traditional mentoring Cross Business mentoring (Mentiuum) Women's Forums Professional development Interaction with Sr. leaders Personal learning and branding Engagement

    9. What else? -Going Global -Redefining the NA Council -Plant Operations Task Force- The initiative is focused on improving the attainment and retention of women in operations positions. These initiatives currently include: Manager Peer Coaching, Internal & External Benchmarking, Ops-specific Mentor-up, Ops-targeted Career Development Training, and Development of Accountability and Metrics. 

    10. More The CWC Network Pool was created to give women easy access to information and knowledge. The areas include Cargill Women's Council, Career Experience, Functional Experience, Skill Development, Work/Life Balance and Special Interest.     -Family Fridays - Cargill Public Affairs and Work/Life Solutions are pleased to bring you an exciting new series of seminars designed to help you address issues you may be facing.

    16. What are some traits of women historically? Quoting an article entitled Women Find Their Place in the Field by Julia Moskin Farms run primarily by women 1978 5% 2005 15% Farming has changed, and farmers now have to do things they are traditionally really bad at: marketing, educating consumers, collective action and communication..it can’t be a coincidence that women are traditionally good at those things. And Ms. Satur who was raised on a dairy farm says”I use a different skill set than my parents did on the farm, but growing up there made it possible for me to imagine myself as a farmer. For women farmers , that is a huge first step. Farming has changed, and farmers now have to do things they are traditionally really bad at: marketing, educating consumers, collective action and communication..it can’t be a coincidence that women are traditionally good at those things.
