Reminders • Reading log due in my basket on Monday • Also use the basket to show me work and get brief feedback. • Can be writing, but also reading notes, written convos…anything you want another mind to process • Use a sticky note to ask questions/tell me what you need. • Check your cubby for returns/materials from me. • Keep everything.

  3. Today • ~30 min Workshop Time • You may write and/or read for your reading log • No conversation during this time • Brief, supportive peer conference • Rose, thorn and bud

  4. Supportive Conferences • Group of 2-3 • Author reads out loud from today’s work • Reader(s) discuss: • What’s done well. • What’s interesting. • What we like.

  5. Rose, Thorn and Bud • On notecard (leave space for future use) • Rose: something cool that happened in your writing today • Thorn: Something challenging/frustrating that happened today • Bud: Something with potential that you hope is going to develop—something you’re looking forward to.
