  2. Plywood is typically a cheaper version or alternate of wood that is engineered by gluing different layers of wooden panels or veneers. Hardwood is the wood that is derived from trees like maple, mahogany, oak or any other angiosperm tree. The hardwood plywood is a specially made using the wood panels derived from the wood of these trees.
