  2. Project’s Objectives Identifying the situation and the EU MMSS users’ needs in relation to the TF 2008. A global inventory of best methodological practices for the statistics in the residential sector, both at EU level and external to the EU. A manual stating the statistical information to provide greater insight into the energy use in the residential sector, the different statistical techniques to be applied, the best existing practices and methodologies used and the suggestions on the best options to use according to the users’ starting-off situation. A training session for all the users in the MMSS so as to enable them to migrate from their present situation to future detailed information requirements for the residential sector. Subcontracts estimated • Technical Assistance to the project: technical assistance in the field of statistical basis and practices, as well as in sampling techniques and methodological systematization and harmonization. • IDAE is responsible for this subcontract. • All the partners will participate in its definition (Technical specifications). • Beneficiaries: All the partners • Additionally a maximum of 5 subcontracts in order to incorporate possible external contributions. • Slovenia: 1 subcontract, Institute Jožef Stefan will prepare a chapter about modelling work. 13 Production of a Manual for Statistics on Energy Consumption in Households
