  3. What is the program focus? To focus on 4 preventive health habits: • Eat high-fiber foods • Drink lots of water • Maintain a low-fat diet • Engage in regular exercise Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service

  33. Schools Commitment • Send a minimum of 1 school staff to October 13, 2009 OWG training. • Sign a Memorandum of Understanding with OCES • Maintain and report time spent implementing the OWG in the school • Participate in program impact/evaluation Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service

  34. Educator’s Responsibility • Recruit low-income schools • One person from County attend October 13, 2009 OWG training at OSU/OKC with school staff • Travel to school to conduct school assembly(ies) Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service

  35. Educator’s Responsibilities (Cont.) • Develop a MOU with school district • Assist schools with tracking and reporting time spent implementing the OWG in the school • Asst. with program impact/evaluation Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service

  36. Additional Educator Information • $400 dollars in travel will be available to Educator(s) attending training and conducting assembly(ies) • $100 in educational materials or food demonstration supplies will be available to support school(s) selected in your county.
