Temperature (C) TF current diffusion analysis (normal operation pulse) 127 114.5 102 89.5 77 64.5 52 39.5 27 14.5 2 Near upper flag: Max: 112°C (a little below the corner) Corner temperature is 111°C. Near lower flag: 117°C no cooling during pulse(0~10.136s) Add more material here Temperature (C) 127 114.5 102 89.5 77 64.5 52 39.5 27 14.5 2 6” Near upper flag: Max: 110.8°C Near lower flag: Max: 113.4°C Add cooling during pulse (0~10.136s), 0.25” tube, 3m/s, inlet temp 12 °C Only two small areas have temperature >101°C 2”
From Han: 113°C and 110°C are at EOFT, please see the attached ppt. Total pulse length is 10.136s, flat top ends at 9.512s. After flat top, the temps lower down a little because less heat produced from current and the temps re-distribute (heat transfers to low temp components) Finesse the TF Current Profile i.e drop it a bit at the end or at the beginning –Do you need full field at these times? Shorten the TFC Current Profile Test the CTD 425 to 115 degrees C. Degradation Between 80 and 100C is Small Accept as-is – Assume De-Bond in Small Regions where Temps are Above 100C
