  2. Passé Composé avec avoir Most verbs follow this pattern: J’airegardé la télé. I watched. Tu as attendu. You waited. Il a finises devoirs. He finished his homework. Elle a eu. She had. Nous avonsrangé ma chambre. We cleaned my room. Vousavezécrit. You all wrote. Ilsontlu. They (masculine) read. Ellesontjoué au foot. They (masculine) played soccer.

  5. Passé Composé: formenégative The “ne” and the “pas” surround the form of avoir or être, not the past tense verb. Je n’ai pas rangé ma chambre. I did not clean my room. Tun’es pas entrée le classe. You (feminine) did not enter the classroom. Il n’a pas couri. He didn’t run. Nous n’avons pas étudié. Vousn’êtes pas morts. You all (masculine) did not die. Ellesn’ont pas visité un musée. They (feminine) did not visit a museum.
