Alcohol Policies • Behaviors off campus can affect standing on campus (reports are sent to Judicial Affairs). • Residence Halls and off campus housing • Common citations: Minors in Possession (MIP), drunk in public, DUI
Risks related to Alcohol Use • Poor decision making • Impact on your education • Impact on your personal life • Fighting • Drink spiking • Date rape/sexual assault
Watch out for you and your friends… • Be informed! • Recognize/prevent problems • Become a peer health educator
Hazing • All forms of physical activity not directed toward constructive work • The application of foreign substances to the body • “New member only” scavenger hunts, new member ditches, kidnaps, etc. • Any activity mandatory for new members only, and is not educational in nature • Depriving students of sufficient sleep (6 hours per day minimum), decent of edible meals, or access to means of maintaining bodily cleanliness • Depriving students of "sense awareness" (sight, sound, etc.) which may cause mental and/or physical stress • Forcing, coercing or permitting students to eat, or drink foreign or unusual substances such as raw meat, salt water, onions, etc. • Forcing, or allowing, students to dress in any unusual or awkward fashion. • Criminal, university offenses and personal liability

Student Health and Counseling Center • Services are low to no cost to students! • No insurance is required! • Full service medical clinic including general medicine, optometry, physical therapy, radiology, lab and pharmacy • Immunizations questions answered! • Family PACT (contraception, STI 411, well women and men exams)
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) • Free counseling for students! • Common issues relating to transitioning into college: • Anxiety • Depression • Relationship issues • All of these issues can impact learning and should be addressed.
