POLAR BEARS • BABY POLAR BEARS ARE BORN DURRING WINTER HIBERNATION AND FIRST SEE THE BIG WORLD WHEN WINTER IS OVER. • ICE BEGINS TO MELT FAST ONCE POLAR BEARS COME OUT OF HYBERNATION, SO THEY HAVE TO MOVE FAST TO GET FOOD BEFORE THE ICE BREAKS UP TOO MUCH. • HALF OF ALL POLAR BEAR CUBS DIE IN THEIR FIRST YEAR.
