Antigua – What To Do? • Many buildings and houses date back to early 16th century. • Numerous Spanish churches and Govt. buildings • Capital of “New Spain” of all Central America • Stay in hotel that dates back to 16th century • Climb the active volcano outside Guatemala City • Rotary Guatemala Literacy Project school to hand out books • Attend Antigua Rotary meeting. • Talk about the Mayan Scholarship fund results • Guided tour of city in English • Visit oldest Mayan archeological site outside of town • Other activities: Jade Museum, Coffee farm, Zip-line over forest, great restaurants, art museums, and shopping • Visit Chichicastenango, Lake Atitlan, Huehuetenango, and Tikal Ruins as side trips from Antigua
