Background There are five phases to the TMDL program: • Phase 1 - Initial monitoring • Phase 2 – Verified listing • Phase 3 - TMDL development • Phase 4 - Basin Management Action Plan (BMAP) – Current Lake Jesup Status • Phase 5 - Implementation

Lake Jesup BMAP Process • Lake Jesup TMDL adopted in 2006 • Watershed has 86,382 acres • Stakeholders: Orange and Seminole Counties 11 municipalities 3 transportation agencies Agriculture
Lake Jesup BMAP Process BMAP Details: • Identifies impairment being elevated levels of phosphorus and nitrogen • 15 year allocation is 18,748 pounds for all stakeholders Orange County allocation is 1,707 pounds

Next Steps • Approve Resolution supporting adoption of the BMAP • DEP will adopt the BMAP through their administrative process • Annual progress update to Basin Working Group • BMAP status will be reevaluated in five years by Orange County, DEP, and other stakeholders
