Nature of work • Collaborate with other computer specialists to create optimum software • Document every aspect of the application or system as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades • Ensure that the software continues to function normally through software maintenance and testing • create a variety of models and diagrams (such as flowcharts) that instruct programmers how to write the software code • Recommend software upgrades for customers’ existing programs and systems

  4. Working Conditions • Both mental and physical • Indoor and Outdoor • I would work indoor because it is working with computers • 40 hours a week • The environment is really well. • Fun fact: Employees are encouraged to use 20% of their time working on their own projects

Developers are the creative minds behind new computer software. • Software developers usually have a bachelor’s degree • Many students gain experience in software development by completing an internship at a software company while in college. • Problem-solving skills. Because developers are in charge of the software from beginning to end, they must be able to solve problems that arise throughout the design process • Interpersonal skills. Software developers must be able to work well with others who contribute to designing, developing, and programming successful software.

Mobile technology requires new applications • Some outsourcing to foreign countries with lower wages may occur. However, because software developers should be close to their customers

  9. Summary • I think this is exactly how I thought it was going to be. I still want to have this job. This is going to be a perfect job for me. I love to work with computers. I look forward to having good pay. I don’t want to have hard work. I think that I love computers so I will see where that takes me in the future
