ELA/ELD Framework Update • Revised Framework is posted and in the 90 day review process. • Renumbering of chapters; start with “introduction”, to accommodate the splitting of 6-12 chapter. • Chapter 2 (former Chapter 3) “supporting students strategically”
ELA/ELD Framework Update • Chapters 6 & 7 middle and high school chapters • Chapter 8 assessment – focus on formative assessment – it is a process, not a test. • Chapter 9 – Chicana/Chicano section added
ELA/ELD Framework Update • Instructional minutes • Local Control • Chapter 12 minutes for publishers • Build a schedule to meet all needs • Federal guidelines remain in effect • Elementary level • must have access to all content areas • restructure/flexibility
