CiteStation CiteStation can be inserted into an existing Legal Research and Writing Class in TWEN or A new CiteStation course can be created in TWEN.
There are presently four CiteStation exercises. There will be eight exercises this spring. Each exercise is presented in both ALWD and Bluebook formats.
Each exercise is preceded by a statement by the authors of what skills will be developed and tested.
Each exercise is presented in the context of practical legal documents. In this exercise, a memorandum and a contract provide the context.
Pop up questions concerning the material just covered are sprinkled throughout the text. Click the icon to display the question(s).
Try Again Next Question The student is immediately told if the answer is correct or incorrect. If incorrect, the student is asked to try again. If correct, there is a reference to the relevant Bluebook or ALWD rule(s) and a brief explanation is given, if needed. The student then moves to the next question.
View Results At the end of each exercise, the student is invited to view the results of the quiz questions.
Submit Quiz Print Score The student submits the quiz answers. A screen displays the student’s score. The student can print a copy of the quiz questions.
Results The professor can return to the course’s CiteStation home page to view the quiz results.
To Sort by Question The professor can sort by student, as shown above. The average score of those taking each quiz is given. The professor can sort by question.
The scores sorted by question aid in determining which tasks have been mastered and which need more work.
