Direct object pronouns are used all of the time to avoid repetition. Eg. Do you like meat? No, I hate it I hate it object of the verb “hate” pronoun (replaces noun “meat”)

Using PDOs • Tu fais les devoirs ? 1 Find the object les 2 Work out what the DOP is.. 3 Put the DOP between the subject and the verb je les fais
Using DOPs • Tu connais ma soeur et moi ? 1 Find the object nous 2 Work out what the DOP is.. 3 Put the DOP between the subject and the verb tu nous connais?
Be careful! The PDO might be plural in French, when in English it is singular!! !
Be careful! The PDO “le” and “la” change to “l’” before a verb that starts with a vowel. !
