Emergency Comparisons Typical Emergency Haz-Mat Emergency Rush in to help Need to slow down Have information needed Difficult to get information Can be handled by agency Often requires numerous agencies Know what to expect Never sure about reactions Little or no additional exposure Possibility of large additional exposures Normally completed in a short time May last days/weeks or longer Proper equipment available Specialized equipment required Normally limited to one space May move (vapors or liquids) Hazardous Materials (M-1)
