What is Six Sigma (6σ) Six Sigma (6σ) represents the level of qualitywhen the defects are decreased to 3.4 in 1,000,000 million opportunities Few Examples Out of 1,000,000 parcels a courier company delivers apprx. 999,996 parcels on time while approx only4 are delayed ! Out of 1,000,000 service hours a telecom company’s service are up 999,996 hours while experiencing the down time of only 4 hours!

  4. What is Six Sigma (6σ) • Have you noticed the large sample size – i.e. 1,000,000 ? • What if we don’t have 1,000,000 samples / opportunities …… well lets run few quick tests 150 Opportunities 1,000,000 Opportunities 25,000 Opportunities
